Last month I faced a difficult decision - do I choose Angel or Alien?! There's something about buying an expensive fragrance that I just love. It's not something I do very often but every 6 months or so, it's just something that I
Every time I've stepped into Boots over the last couple of months I've cheekily ended up spraying myself with Thierry Mugler's Angel and Alien perfumes before I leave the store and I think it was only time that I treated myself to a bottle. At £65 for 50ml, it's not exactly what I'd call budget friendly and for this amount of money I want to make sure I'm getting something I know I'll truly love. Before I buy any perfume I'll always spray it in store, walk around town and see whether it still lasts a couple of hours later. I can confirm that Angel walks all over any other perfume I've ever owned when it comes to lasting power - it lingers in your clothes/hair/pillow/boyfriends clothes for days!
The scent is very overpowering once first sprayed. It almost smells like a men's aftershave at first and then develops in to an indescribable, just beautiful, scent. It definitely needs to be put on your skin to develop as it seems to smell different on each individual person. I'm the most horrendous person at describing scents so I've had a look online and can see that the fragrance is made up of bergamot, fruit, honey, vanilla, chocolate, caramel and patchouli. Despite the sickly sweet ingredients, I wouldn't particularly say the scent is all that sweet at all!
My only fault is that the bottle is so hard/impossible to stand up. I love the grown up, heaviness of it though and the fact that it looks luxurious and not overly girly.
If you're looking for a new 'adult' strong scent then Angel is right up your street. Make sure you don't spray too much though, it'll give you a headache!
Have you tried Angel before? What's your favourite perfume?
Grace x
