I like bargains

Hello everyone! Before I start my post i'd like to say a massive THANK YOU! to everyone who follows my blog.  I've just reached over 400 followers and that is absolutely amazing! I hope you all continue to read and enjoy my blog because I absolutely love writing it.

OK! On Sunday me and my boyfriend decided to go to a Carboot sale. When I was younger I wouldn't be seen dead at a Carboot sale! I'd always turn my nose up when my Mum announced she'd be going to one but lately I've definitely found a soft spot for them.

Anyway, here are the three beauties that I picked up...

Angel Curls Hair Curlers - I remember having a pair of these when I was younger and they were the best things ever. When I saw them on a stall for only £1 I couldn't not snatch them! I haven't tried curling my hair with them yet but I know for a fact that my hair will look beautiful after using these.

Jordan Pushed to the Limit Book - At first when I made my boyfriend ask how much this is (i'm shy) he thought I was joking.  I neither hate or love Katie Price and I've always wanted to read one of her books so for 50p, WHY NOT?!

Phillips Facial Sauna - This has to be my favourite carboot purchase ever.  The facial sauna looks immaculate and comes with little aroma sachets.  I don't think this has ever been used.  I can't believe that I only paid £1 for this.  I'm so excited to try it out, I've wanted one of these for ages!

I hope you've enjoyed this post.  Do you like carboot sales? What's the biggest bargain you've ever bought from a carboot? I'd love to know!

P.S sorry for the amount of times you will read 'carboot' in this post.

How to: Yummy Chocolate Truffles!

I'm really not much of a domestic goddess at all. I can barely make a pot noodle properly but today I made these little beauties! They really don't look as yummy as they look but they're actually so so nice! I promise that if you make them, you will LOVE them and they're the easiest thing ever to make!

Here's what you'll need!

  • Three packets of Oreo's although you'll only need to use two and a half.
  • Cream Cheese (any will do, doesn't have to be Philadelphia)
  • Two bars of Milk Chocolate
  • White chocolate Stars (not necessary, I just think they look cuter!)

Take your oreos (two and a half packets worth) and put them into a large bowl and just break them into as many little pieces as you can.

When I first made these, I was horrified at the thought of chocolate and cream cheese being mixed together! I thought it'd be a total disaster but it is actually amazing! I promise! Mix your cream cheese with your oreos with your hands.  It's really messy but it's definitely worth it! Try a little bit of the mixture and see whether you like it now ;) You should get something that looks like the above picture, a sort of play dough consistency.

Make little balls like this out of your mixture! They don't have to be perfect because well, that'd just be too hard to do! Then place them in the freezer for about 10 minutes to just harden up.

Whilst your balls are hardening up (OMG SOUNDS SO BAD! SORRY! HAHA!) in the freezer, melt your milk chocolate on the hob, or the microwave but I find it tastes better off the hob for some reason.

Get your truffles out of the freezer and coat them in chocolate! You'll find that by putting them in the freezer, they'll be cold and easier to manage in the chocolate.

Pop the truffle on the plate and add your decoration. You don't have to add the decoration.  I'm making mine for my Sister's 18th Birthday and I just think it's a nice little touch.

The plate gets so messy! 99.9% of you will be a lot neater than me though I expect.  I'm awful at neatness.
Place your truffles in the fridge and let them set for about 2/3 hours and they're ready to eat!

You'll end up with something like this! How yummy do they look?! Remember to keep your truffles in the fridge when you're not munching them otherwise they'll go off and melt!

Do let me know if you liked this and whether you want more easy little recipes from me! Do you think you'll give these a try?

St. Moriz Exfoliating Body Scrub Review.

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to be reviewing the St Moriz Exfoliating Body Scrub. I've had this product for about a month now so I've really got to test it out.  Being an avid St Moriz fan, I feel like my life is incomplete without every one of their products!  I apply fake tan maybe, twice a week and I just hate getting to the stage where it's starting to wash off and look all patchy and snakeskin-y!

So this works like any other exfoliator really, pay extra attention to the dry patches but all in all just give your skin a good old fashioned scrub.  I apply mine with a shower sponge (is that even the correct name for them?!).  I find that it is a bit scratchy and takes a bit of getting used to but it's not unbearable at all.  The scrub smells a bit like the St Moriz tan but a bit more bath product-y.  I'm really rubbish at describing smells.

I mainly use it when my tan is looking horrible and I just want to prep my skin for a fresh layer on fake tan.   I really think this does what it should, it removes my patchy uneven tan, makes my skin feel really smooth and soft and ensures that my next tan will be lovely looking and even!

The exfoliating scrub retails at £1.99 and I got mine from Tesco! At 75ml it's quite a small bottle but a little goes a long way.  I haven't really read any reviews at all on this product, have any of you got it?

you can count on me like 1 2 3.

It's been a while since I last posted a week in pictures type post on my blog because well, not much has been happening! These pictures are going to be from the last month or so instead. :)

I went to the Zoo on Sunday and actually had a really nice time! It surprised me because I'm not much of an animal lover and i'm scared of most animals. How cute are these two? I couldn't not take a picture of them both.

I've been loving plaiting my hair wet recently and sleeping on it then taking it out in the morning to discover waves like this! I really wish I still owned a crimper. I used to sit for hours crimping mine, my friends and my sisters hair.  My little brother loves wearing my hair too!

I love love love vitamin water. I can't get enough of this flavour.  It's called dragonfruit and is just the best vitamin water flavour ever. Try it if you haven't already!  I also recently rediscovered this ring! Does anyone remember this absolute Primark gem?

This picture of my boyfriend in a pair of Uggs is comedy gold! It makes me laugh whenever I look at it!
The other picture is just a cheeky car photograph of me and Andy. Aww. I always find the lighting is so much better in a car than anywhere else! Strange huh?!

Let me know if you like these sort of posts :)

Samantha Faiers Dress.

Since I'm absolutely obsessed with TOWIE, I thought I'd post about Samantha Faiers Dress at the Teen Awards.

Usually I'd never wear something like this myself but I actually really love it! I think it gives a really rocky edge to Sam and is nothing like you'd expect her to wear if you get what I mean.  Her dresses are usually really glamorous and best described as well, just "essex" really!

The dress is from Forever Unique and costs £80. You can get it here :)  http://www.foreverunique.co.uk/clothing/dresses/paige-cream/prod_1641.html

What do you think of the dress? Would you wear it?

Lush Review: Toothy Tabs

Since I now live in Norwich, there's a Lush store really close to where I live.  I've really loved every single Lush product I've ever tried and I've definitely tried my fair few! So on Saturday when I was shopping with my boyfriend, we popped into Lush.

These toothy tabs immediately caught my eye.  As most of you probably are, I'm always on the lookout for anything that'll make my teeth noticeably whiter so at £2.50 for a box of tabs which are used instead of using your daily tube of toothpaste it'd be rude not to give them a little try!

Lush say: Sparkle Toothy Tab is a dose of sweet vanilla flavour and makes for a very effective palate cleanser. The black pepper gives a radiating warmth after you’ve finished brushing.

Makes teeth sparkle!

If you want people to stop you in the street when they spot your pearly whites, use Sparkle! Lemon peel powder and Sicilian lemon oil will make your teeth sparkle brightly. Every smile should be so perfect.

I'm sure you'll agree when I say that the tab doesn't look the most appetising thing in the world.  I did smell the tab first which was probably the wrong thing to do as all I could smell was an overwhelming pepper flavour.
The instructions are to nibble a tab between your front teeth, basically crumble it up a little bit. Wet your toothbrush, start brushing and the tab will foam up and leave you with sparkly gnashers! I wasn't expecting the sparkle straight away though, I knew it'd take some time.

When brushing my teeth I was actually heaving at the taste. It was the most horrendous taste I've ever had to endure in my whole entire life. So much for a "sweet vanilla scent", my mouth was practically on fire afterwards from a pepper overload! If you can brush your teeth more than once with these then I take my hat off to you. I will never ever use these again!

I much prefer to have a really minty taste in my mouth after brushing my teeth anyway because it just makes it that much fresher for you.  I couldn't tell the difference after one brush, my teeth weren't sparkly but as I said, it would take time for that to happen.  There are another 5 flavours in the Toothy Tabs range but I just couldn't bring myself to ever buy a packet again.

Have you tried these? Will you try them?

P.S I've decided to keep  all the jewellery in my shop at £2.50 forever so check it out and get yourself a complete bargain! http://www.glitterandcarousels.bigcartel.com

Some of my favourite bloggers...

You know those blogs that just have the ability to make you want to read them constantly, all day everyday? Well these are some of my favourites. I've decided that i'm only going to include lesser known blogs rather than the established ones. Each of these blogs have followers less than 300 but are all equally as amazing, for me, as blogs with 5000 followers.

So, here are my favourites in no particular order! :)

Kathy's blog mostly consists of fashion with the cheeky beauty post chucked in every now and then. I just really love reading through her outfit of the day posts, her style is gorgeous and she's amazingly pretty! I don't think I'll ever get bored of her blog.

I love the hauls on Emily's blog! I often find myself lusting after things she's bought and she manages to find the most amazing bargains which makes me a little bit jealous but most of the time I just copy ;) She also does reviews and the occasional outfit and face of the days. Definitely worth a read.

I'm absolutely loving Tamsin's Face of the Day post's at the moment. She's totally flawless and her eyelashes make me dribble, they're so long! Tamsin's blog is a mish mash of beauty and fashion and is always really enjoyable to read.

I've been a massive fan of Samantha's blog ever since I started blogging. We started blogging around the same time and I've just always read her blog religiously. I like how she includes personal posts as well as beauty and fashion posts because I find you get to know her really well. She also rocks pink lipstick amazingly well!

Lorna is one of my real life friends! :) I'm not including her just because of that though. I love her writing style, her posts always manage to make me laugh! Her blog is mainly beauty posts and her reviews are always completely helpful.

Are you already following these lovely blogs? Are you going to give them a little read now?! :)

New Favourite Beauty Find.

Hi everyone! I've been reading several blog reviews about VIVO Cosmetics recently so when I went to Tesco a couple of days ago, I couldn't dare pass the stand without having a little browse! After lots of swatching I decided to pick up this lipstick.

I picked up the lipstick in Shade 5 - Pink Pout just because it was probably the most appealing to me as I can't get enough of pink lipsticks at the moment. It retails at £1.99 which is a complete bargain if you ask me! When I first swatched it I did think it was almost identical to MUA's Shade 7 but when I got home I swatched them both and the VIVO lipstick is a little more pink than Shade 7. There's only one thing I don't like about the lipstick and that's the smell. My boyfriend thinks it smells like nuts (hahaha!), it doesn't. It smells just like a bathroom product but I can't think which one. It just smells really erm, soapy! I can't explain but the smell doesn't bother me too much once it's on!

As you can see it's quite a bright pink and that's what I love about it! It also lasts quite long. I went for a pizza hut and could still see it on my lips after eating pizza and drinking lots of Pepsi! Overall i'm well impressed and i'm thinking of buying some more lipsticks even though I don't necessarily need them but they are my favourite things to buy at the moment! Haha.

Have any of you tried any VIVO products? Are there any you'd recommend?
