MUA Cosmetics| FashionistA Haul

Whilst scrolling on my Facebook timeline, I noticed MUA Cosmetics had posted about their newest addition to the website - FashionistA.  FashionistA is a brand that I'd noticed in Superdrug over the last year or so and I often drooled over their huge eyeshadow selection but strangely enough, never actually purchased anything.  I had a pleasant surprise when I actually browsed MUA's website too as the products are currently all half price.

The biggest promotion on the website is the Fashionista Palette.  You can either pick four or six eyeshadows, bronzers or blushers including the palette.  If you opt for the four option, it's £7 and for six, £10.  Considering each of the eyeshadows, bronzers and blushers retail normally for £4 each this is a complete bargain!  I spent ages perusing the collection and finally decided on the Glowing blusher, Barcelona bronzer, Gold Rush eyeshadow and the Night Sky eyeshadow.  I wanted to try one of each product and seeing them swatched, I can honestly say that I think I love all of them already. Gold Rush is my absolute favourite, it's so pretty with it's gold flecks.  Night Sky is a matte black eyeshadow which I think will be perfect for smokey eyes.  Barcelona will make a great highlighter and I think Glowing may possibly convert me into a blusher fan.   Each of these all come in their own little cases so you can pop them out of the palette and carry them around singularly if you like.

I also picked up a pressed powder in 'Fair'.  The packaging reminds me of an old school flip up mobile phone.  I haven't tried the powder yet but I will update this post when I do to give you my thoughts.  The mirror on this compact, actually rotates. How amaze?!  This was also £3 with a regular price of £8.

Lipstick is my favourite thing so I couldn't not order these and I couldn't be happier with these two. At £3 each with a regular price of £7 I wish I'd just bought the whole collection!  I don't have any lipsticks with packaging like this either so good effort Fashionista for being a little bit 'out there'.  Both of these will make their way into my Summer makeup bag.

Finally, I decided on a hot pink nail varnish called 'Happy Days' - awww nice name.  I'm wearing it now and I'm super impressed that it hasn't chipped yet like most of my other nail polishes.  I did have to put three coats on though but I have to with most so this doesn't bother me too much.  This was also £3 with a regular price of £5.

All of this for under £20, absolute steal.  I haven't been this happier with an online makeup order in a long time! If you'd like to peruse the FashionistA range, head to http://www.muastore.co.uk/index.php/fashionista-1.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend :)

A fashionably late May Favourites

Is it too late to post about my may favourites?! NAAAAH.

MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder - Genuinely think this is my favourite product of the year so far.  It's amazing for pale skin (I haven't fake tanned in forever) as it just leaves a subtle glow AND isn't the product itself just so pretty to look at?  Best £3 I have spent in a long long time.

17 Falsify Mascara - I rarely ever purchase the same mascara twice as there's so many on the market that I'd love to try.  This mascara is the exception to the rule though.  I use it on top of my Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara and it just makes your lashes have unbelievable amounts of volume.  I would say steer clear of this if you're not fond of clumps though.

Juicy Couture Couture Eau de Parfum - I must admit, I initially bought this just for the bottle but I have fallen head over heels for the fragrance.  It's quite fruity with elements of pink grape and mandarin but also a little floral.  I spray this in the morning and can still smell it on my skin the next day. Totes amaze.

Radox Coconut Kiss Shower Gel  - Coconut scented products are just essential for Summer. This is out of this worrrrld.  Every time I smell it I just want to drink lots of malibu whilst sunbathing on a hot beach.  Going to repurchase this again and again.  It's only a £1 at the moment in Boots too! Bargain!

Nivea Lip Butter Raspberry Rose - Besides smelling exactly like fruitellas, I love the sheer pink tint this leaves on your lips.  It's not the most nourishing lip product I've ever used but it's sweet scent makes up for it.

Mac Chatterbox Lipstick - Pink lipstick is something I can't get enough of, I must own around 30.  This is currently my favourite 'bubblegum pink' lipstick.  It's creamy, quite bright but not too in your face i'm nicki minaj bright and lasts quite a while on your lips.

Models Own Beach Party - I've been applying this over and over again on my toes and I intend for it to be that way for the whole of Summer. It's the brightest nail polish I have ever seen and pretties your toes up beyond belief.

What were your favourite products in May?

June Glossybox

Helloooo, hope you're all having a lush weekend.  I got my Glossybox through the post today and in true blogger style I had to share my opinion on it.  Does anyone find that most of the products are always a little bit dusty? It's so off-putting, please give 'em a clean Glossybox.

Hugo Boss Jour Sample £49 for 50ml - I hate perfume samples in beauty boxes! It smells alright, Glossybox describe it as 'floral' but I find it to be quite a manly scent. Hugo Boss is mostly associated with men in my opinion so I'd steer well clear of this for £49 for 50ml.

Figs and Rouge Multi Purpose Lip Balm in 'Coco Rose' £5 - I love the packaging! This is the first thing that caught my eye in the box - sucker for pink, obvs. I applied this straight away and the scent reminded me of those turkish delight chocolate bars, yum! It has a slight shimmer in it which I'm not particularly fond of on the lips but as it's multi purpose I might try and utilise it as something other than just a lip balm.

Helen É Cosmetics Shimmer Eye Powder £5 - Helen É were an exhibitionist at Clothes Show Live last year and I picked up a little goody bag from them for £10 that had about 8 items in it that I think were supposed to amount to around £60.  There is no way that I'd pay even £5 for a single Helen É product. The packaging is so cheap and the products really do not excite me.  This little pot reminds me of when I was about 10 and used to get pots of shimmer powder free with Shout Magazine.  I did swatch it but there was no point in taking a picture as it wasn't pigmented at all and looked more like talc.  No likey Glossybox.

Me Me Me Nail Polish in 'Amorous' £5 - Dark red nail polish as we're about to say Hello to Summer. Really?! That aside, I will say that I am looking forward to trying this.  I haven't ever tried a Me Me Me product as far as I can remember so I'm intrigued. Might not try it until Winter though!

Sarah Chapman Skinesis £57 for 30ml - I'm going to be brutally honest, anything skincare related bores me beyond belief.  This is a Skin Tone Perfecting Booster that is filled with botanical skin brighteners that promise to target age spots, sun damage and general discolouration.  I will probably be pass this on to my Mum but it sounds ok, just not for me.

Overall I'd say that I'm not very impressed with this box.  The only thing that I think I'd genuinely enjoy using is the Nail Polish but that's not going to be until colder and darker months.  I think Glossybox need to get a better perception on the time of year it is and the products people tend to actually want to use around Summer.

What products did you get in your box? Leave links so I can come and be nosy!
