Dreams come slow and they go so fast

Last Bank Holiday weekend, I took a trip to my Mum's house in Wales to celebrate her Birthday.  Being a five hour car journey away from her isn't the nicest so on the occasions I do visit her we try to cram as much activities in as we can!

Last Weekend and this week saw 'Hay Festival'.  It's basically a giant gathering of writers, comedians, filmmakers and musicians who put on various little exhibitions and shows that you can pay a couple of pounds for to enter.  We didn't bother visiting any exhibitions as you had to book in advance for them and this was a spur of the moment kind of thing.  If you've never been to Hay, the best way to describe it for me, is as if you're going back in time almost.  If I could close my eyes and imagine what the olden days were like I'd definitely picture Hay.  It's so picturesque and quaint with all of it's bookshops, gift shops and vintage stalls.

On Sunday we decided to go to the beach in Aberystwyth as it was such a beautiful day - rare for a bank holiday huh?! I couldn't resist going in the sea, fully dressed, even though I didn't have any spare clothes. Eeek! My mum bought an inflatable dinghy from a little seaside shop and my brother and sister had to have it on their lap in the back of the car for about 5 minutes.  Most hilarious time ever! They were so squashed, bless them.  A trip to the seaside always means Bubblegum flavoured ice-cream too, it's actually the best thing ever.  If you haven't tried it, you need to, right now.

As always the weekend flies by whenever I go home to visit my family.  We left on the Monday morning too which was my mum's birthday so it was even more horrible to leave than normal.  The trip back wouldn't be the same if I didn't pick up a cheeky drink from Costa.  The new peach iced lemonade is out of this worrrrld.  I can't wait to get it again!

I hope this post hasn't been too boring. I'm going to try and incorporate a little bit of lifestyle into my blog but please do let me know if you'd prefer me not to!
